Get to Know Shelly Ferch, Office Administrator & Billing Specialist
I started at Dayspring in the front office working directly with clients and performed these duties for several years. While I still help clients I do it more behind the scenes now.
A major part of our business involves clients that use health insurance to cover a substantial portion of their costs. Submitting insurance claims for clients is a significant part of my duties. Then arguing with the client’s insurance company that the services were required and should be covered under their policy takes more time on the phone than it should.
The business operations are also my responsibility. Because Dayspring is a nonprofit organization, we work with limited funds. I make sure our organization is running smoothly by overseeing our financial position. Some of the behind the scenes activities include banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and bookkeeping.
I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and business owner. I also enjoy playing volleyball at my local recreation center.
