Get to Know Kristy Walker, LICSW
My name is Kristy Walker and I have been working in the mental health field for 26 years. In 2001, I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work at The University of Tennessee. In 2006, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been serving my community at Dayspring Center for Christian Counseling
since 2007.
I have experience working with the school system providing mental health services, serving as a clinical supervisor for a team of in-home therapists, worked in local psychiatric hospital and provided end of life education/support for families who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. I have provided grief and divorce groups as well as Pastor Wives support groups.
As the Clinical Director for Dayspring, I have the opportunity to serve as a Consultant for other therapist as well as maintain a full caseload of my own clients. Currently I provide individual, couples and family counseling. My typical clientele include those struggling with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, grief/loss, couple's issues, family conflict and spiritual issues.
My heart is deeply anchored in faith and compassion. I see every counseling session not just as a conversation, but as a sacred opportunity to reflect God’s love, grace and healing power. I am passionate about helping others find emotional and mental peace in a safe judgement-free space. I combine biblical truth with practical tools to help people navigate struggles like anxiety, depression, grief or broken relationships through both spiritual insight and professional care.
I have been married for 20 years and have 2 boys. Our family enjoys the outdoors and I enjoy reading, hiking and crafting.
