Alabama Law Change for Minors

For the current Alabama law concerning the age of consent for teens who want counseling - the legal age of consent is changing from 14 to 16 on October 1st. Anyone age 16 and older can obtain mental health services without their parents’ consent or knowledge. Dayspring will respect this change and all minors below the age of 16 will need their parents’ consent to obtain counseling services.

Trauma Therapy Available

Dayspring’s newest counselors have been very busy with training to learn the EMDR therapy techniques.

EMDR is a type of therapy used to help people process traumatic memories and reduce their emotional distress. Studies show that EMDR can lead to significant reduction in PTSD symptoms and improved overall mental health. Schedule your session with them today.
